Location & Contact:
Bruno's has been an institution in New Orleans since the days of prohibition. Situated on three corners of Maple and Hillary since 1934, Bruno's has returned to its original address with a new building and much more fun to offer.
A four year project by the Melius family, has resulted in a grand new location to carry on Leo Bruno's tradition of bringing fun and camaraderie to his patrons.
The original home of the "B.B.B." (Babbling Bastards of Bruno's), an old carnival organization with many years of history. Great moments in local sports history, from Tulane's perfect season to the Saint's first division title, are still immortalized on the walls.
You can watch your favorite game on one of 10 High Def Plasma televisions, or play a game of shuffleboard, darts, pool, or golf.
There are twenty draft taps and plenty more bottled beer to choose from, along with some of the best bartenders in town.
And now for the first time Bruno's Tavern is serving food from our new kitchen. Come taste the Boudreaux Fries, Debris Po-boy, Firecracker Salad, or the best hamburger in town.
We promise to fill your every need. We can do parties for groups of 50 to 250 people and we make it easy and pain free.
If you grew up in New Orleans, you have probably been to Bruno's sometime in your life. If not, you better visit soon.
Bruno's is located at the corner of Hillary and Maple at 7538 Maple street. Just two short blocks off the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line. It is in the University area of Uptown New Orleans, within walking distance to Loyola and Tulane University.
